A brief word on double entendres...

Individual Poems

The Eastern-European Grocery Store's Butcher Shop
from "L.U.N.A. Let Us Now Ascend"
(Buy on Etsy)

Not to be bigoted,
but who eats sheep intestines unless they’re starving?
And the heart of a goat?
Who shall be the buyer of that?
I do not understand this place of blood and gore.
The flesh of animals populates platters
Once beating hearts are sold for a pittance
And I, the vegetarian, am frowning.
