A brief word on double entendres...

Individual Poems
Below the Abyss
from "Sodom on the Cymbals"
(Buy on Etsy)
The tree is without hope.
Fear is foreign to it.
Swallowing lives like chardonnay.
Everyone acts as if it doesn't exist.
Walls and floors with mouths
that devour souls incessantly.
Burning elevators reach floors
darkened in the Earth's mantle.
Tongues lap up drinks
and swallow a tavern's darkness.
Lilith carries a house
and presents it to her victim.
