Individual Poems

Properly Speaking
from "Of the Damned Who Wouldn't Burn"
(Buy on Etsy)

Properly speaking
with words from his father
that he had forgotten

and untie the other
and he reaches for the apple

of knowledge.

Life eludes him
as he saunters
a single step, then stops.
