Individual Poems

Crushing Tartarus
from "A Dry Spell"
(Buy on Etsy)

It is as if my words were a cruise missile
aimed at Tartarus,
that place with whips, leather, and chains
where punishment is a fact of life,
slavery is celebrated,
sexuality charred,
and power worshipped.

You know not and will never know
the happiness you seek in every lash.

Every Lash.
