Murdered Dreams
from "The Fear, the Fog"
(Buy on Etsy)

This world of screams,
and silent screens,
and dreams we thought
we held in our hands

has become an iron cage,
the darkest part
of a perfect circle
which I love and cannot escape.

I desire to fly,
but drop to the mire
of pixel-flooded eyes
in catatonic, malnourished desire.
